About Us (1200 x 297 mm)

The Society of Art was founded by a passionate group of art event organisers who recognised the need for a dedicated space where life models, artists and organisers could connect, collaborate and thrive together. What began as a modest idea has grown into a warm, vibrant and ever-expanding community that brings together people from every corner of the life drawing world.

We believe that life drawing is more than an artistic practice – it is a powerful way to foster connection, understanding and human expression. Our aim is to create fair, accessible and meaningful opportunities for everyone involved, from seasoned professionals to those taking their very first steps.

To support this mission, we maintain a central directory of life models, artists, organisers and venues, making it easier than ever for creative individuals to find one another. Member profiles have become an invaluable resource across the community, helping to streamline collaboration, build confidence and open new doors.

As we grow, we remain committed to innovation, sustainability and professional standards. The Society of Art pioneered digital representation for the life drawing field with one of the first dedicated online platforms – a resource that continues to evolve as we embrace new technology to better serve our members.

At our core, we stand for inclusivity, respect and collaboration. Our community celebrates diversity in all its forms, embracing people of every background, physique and experience level. Whether you are discovering life modelling for the first time or have spent years in the field, you’ll find a supportive space where your skills are recognised and your voice matters.

Our vision is to nurture a thriving, sustainable life drawing community where creativity is shared freely, opportunities are accessible to all and every member feels valued, empowered and inspired.

We aim to:

Celebrate diversity.
We proudly represent a rich mix of models, artists and organisers, ensuring that creativity is fuelled by a wide variety of perspectives and forms.

Support life models at every stage.
From building confidence to connecting with new opportunities, we provide the tools, guidance and visibility needed to help life models grow and shine.

Raise professional standards.
We work to promote fairness, respect and reliability within the industry, highlighting the essential role life models play and strengthening collaborations between artists, organisers and venues.

Build a welcoming, supportive community.
Members gain far more than visibility – they join a caring network that champions growth. Through resources, workshops and training, we help nurture skills, encourage professionalism and inspire artistic development.
